Wireline Competition Bureau Seeks Focused Comment on E-Rate Modernization

In this document, the Wireline Competition Bureau seeks focused comment on three issues raised in the E-rate Modernization NPRM that merit further inquiry as the Commission moves towards the goal of meeting schools' and libraries' broadband connectivity needs. The E- rate Modernization NPRM sought broad comment on modernizing the E-rate program and proposed three goals for the program: ensuring that schools and libraries have affordable access to 21st Century broadband that supports digital learning; maximizing the cost-effectiveness of E-rate funds; and streamlining the administration of the program.
