FDA Exempts Mica-Based Pearlescent Pigments from Certification for Certain Distilled Spirits
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is amending its regulations to allow the safe use of mica-based pearlescent pigments in certain distilled spirits, in response to a petition from E. & J. Gallo Winery. The FDA is exempting these pigments from certification requirements.
