The Boeing Company Issues Airworthiness Directive to Expand Inspection Areas for Cracking on Certain 747 Airplanes
The Boeing Company is issuing a superseding airworthiness directive to expand the inspection areas for cracking on certain 747 airplane models, following reports of multiple cracking incidents outside of previous inspection areas and a report of a crack that initiated at the aft edge of the inner chord.
