Turbomeca S.A. Issues Superseding Airworthiness Directive for Arriel 2D Turboshaft Engines

Turbomeca S.A. is issuing a superseding airworthiness directive (AD) for all Arriel 2D turboshaft engines, requiring replacement of the hydromechanical metering unit (HMU) at a reduced life and conducting inspections of the HMU to prevent uncommanded in-flight shutdowns and potential loss of the helicopter.
