US Department of Agriculture Publishes Final Rule for Value-Added Producer Grant Program

The US Department of Agriculture's Rural Business-Cooperative Service is publishing a final rule for the Value-Added Producer Grant (VAPG) program, which aims to support eligible farmers and ranchers in entering or expanding value-added activities. The program provides priority funding for certain groups, including beginning farmers, veterans, and socially disadvantaged farmers, as well as those proposing mid-tier value chain projects.
