Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, Wisconsin, Townsend Project Environmental Impact Statement to be Prepared

The US Forest Service will analyze and disclose the environmental impacts of proposed land management activities in the Townsend Project, which aims to implement forest management practices consistent with the 2004 Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest Land and Resources Management Plan and address specific needs in the project area, including species diversity, wildlife habitat, and stream bank improvement.
