Tongass National Forest Publishes Notice of Intent to Amend 2008 Forest Plan

The US Forest Service has published a Notice of Intent (NOI) to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to amend the 2008 Tongass National Forest Land and Resource Management Plan, following changes to the anticipated draft EIS and Record of Decision (ROD) timelines. The amendment is subject to a pre-decisional administrative review process, allowing for independent Forest Service review and resolution of issues before the plan amendment is approved.
