USDA Proposes to Reinstated North Fork Coal Mining Area Exception of Colorado Roadless Rule
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is proposing to reinstate the North Fork Coal Mining Area exception of the Colorado Roadless Rule, which would allow for temporary road construction for coal exploration and/or coal-related surface activities on approximately 19,500 acres of National Forest System lands in Colorado. The proposal aims to correct environmental disclosure deficiencies and update CRA boundaries.
