EPA Reissues NPDES General Permit for Offshore Oil and Gas Extraction in Gulf of Mexico

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has reissued a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) General Permit for existing and new sources and new dischargers in the Offshore Subcategory of the Oil and Gas Extraction Point Source Category, covering areas offshore of Louisiana and Texas, with an effective date of October 1, 2012.
