DOD Instruction 8520.2 Mandates Commercial PKI Certificate for Commercial Users of Transportation Systems

The Department of Defense (DoD) has updated its security requirements, requiring commercial users of transportation systems and applications to use a commercial Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) certificate, effective January 29, 2013, in order to comply with DoD Instruction 8520.2, issued on April 1, 2004.
