Agency Information Collection Extension With Changes

The EIA is soliciting comments on the proposed revision and three-year extension of the surveys in the Natural Gas Data Collection Program Package under OMB Control No. 1905-0175. The surveys covered by this request include: Form EIA-176, "Annual Report of Natural and Supplemental Gas Supply and Disposition" EIA-191, "Monthly Underground Gas Storage Report" EIA-757, "Natural Gas Processing Plant Survey" EIA-857, "Monthly Report of Natural Gas Purchases and Deliveries to Consumers" EIA-910, "Monthly Natural Gas Marketer Survey" EIA-912, "Weekly Underground Natural Gas Storage Report" Comments are invited on: (a) Whether the proposed collection of information is necessary for the proper performance of the functions of the agency, including whether the information shall have practical utility; (b) the accuracy of the agency's estimate of the burden of the proposed collection of information, including the validity of the methodology and assumptions used; (c) ways to enhance the quality, utility, and clarity of the information to be collected; and (d) ways to minimize the burden of the collection of information on respondents, including through the use of automated collection techniques

Agency Information Collection Proposed Extension

The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) is seeking public comment on extending the collection of information for the EIA-860S report, which tracks generator air permits at the state level. The original approval was granted on February 12, 2026, under the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995.

Agency Information Collection Request for Comments

EIA invites public comment and other Federal agencies to comment on a proposed information collection. EIA plans to collect information from the public to fulfill its data security requirements when providing access to confidential microdata for the purpose of evidence building. EIA's data security agreements and other paperwork along with the corresponding security protocols allow EIA to maintain careful controls on confidentiality and privacy, as required by law. The purpose of this notice is to allow for 60 days of public comment on the proposed data security information collection, prior to submission of the information collection request (ICR) to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).
