CPSC Issues Final Rule on Heavy Elements Limits for Unfinished and Untreated Wood in Toys
The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued a final rule stating that unfinished and untreated trunk wood used in toys does not contain heavy elements exceeding the limits set by the CPSC's toy standard, ASTM F963-11. As a result, this type of wood does not need to undergo third-party testing for heavy element limits in ASTM F963.
