EMD Millipore Corp. Seeks FDA Approval to Expand Use of Mica-Based Pearlescent Pigments in Alcoholic Beverages

The FDA has received a petition from EMD Millipore Corp. requesting the amendment of color additive regulations to permit the safe use of mica-based pearlescent pigments in a broader range of alcoholic beverages and non-alcoholic mixers, including cordials, liqueurs, cocktails, and certain other beverages.
