Coast Guard Extends Temporary Rule for Pelican Island Causeway Bridge Repairs

The Coast Guard is extending the temporary final rule for the Pelican Island Causeway bridge across Galveston Channel, allowing it to remain closed to navigation for an additional six months while major repairs are conducted to the mechanical portions of the bascule span, following a delay in the start of repairs due to construction and contractual needs.
