US Department of Homeland Security Extends and Redesignates South Sudan for Temporary Protected Status

The US Department of Homeland Security has extended the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) designation for South Sudan for 18 months, from November 3, 2014, through May 2, 2016, and redesignated the country for TPS for the same period, allowing more individuals to obtain the status if they have been continuously residing in the US since September 2, 2014.
