DOJ to Launch Computer Matching Program with IRS for Debt Collection

The Department of Justice (DOJ) is issuing a public notice of its intent to conduct a computer matching program with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Department of the Treasury, to locate debtors to initiate litigation and enforce debt collection. The program, called Taxpayer Address Request (TAR), will use taxpayer mailing addresses to facilitate this process.
