HUD Announces Single Family Loan Sales Without FHA Insurance

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is planning to sell certain unsubsidized single-family mortgage loans through a sealed bid sale, without requiring Federal Housing Administration (FHA) mortgage insurance, in a program called SFLS 2012-1, with the first sale scheduled for December 7, 2011.
