Federal Maritime Commission Corrects Inflation Adjustment of Civil Monetary Penalties

The Federal Maritime Commission is correcting a rule published in the Federal Register to adjust for inflation the maximum amount of civil penalties subject to its jurisdiction, in compliance with the Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act of 1990 and the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, following a correction notice published on Friday, July 31, 2009 (74 FR 38114).
