NRC Withdraws Redundant Regulatory Guide 1.182 on Risk Assessment for Nuclear Power Plants Maintenance

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is withdrawing the 2000 document Regulatory Guide 1.182, 'Assessing and Managing Risk Before Maintenance Activities at Nuclear Power Plants,' due to redundancy with another document, Revision 3 of Regulatory Guide 1.160, 'Monitoring the Effectiveness of Maintenance at Nuclear Power Plants.'
