FCC Proposes Relaxation of Channel Spacing and Bandwidth Limitations for 800 MHz Specialized Mobile Radio Licensees

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is proposing to modify its rules to allow Economic Area (EA)-based 800 MHz Specialized Mobile Radio (SMR) licensees to exceed channel spacing and bandwidth limitations, subject to two conditions, in order to support public safety reconfiguration efforts.
