FDA Confirms Effective Date for Color Additive Rule on Contact Lenses

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has confirmed the effective date of May 2, 2013, for a rule that allows the safe use of specific color additives in contact lenses, including Reactive Blue 246 and Reactive Blue 247 copolymers, as announced in the Federal Register on April 1, 2013.
