EPA Proposes Significant New Use Rule for Tetrafluoropropane
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing a rule requiring companies to notify the agency 90 days prior to manufacturing, importing, or processing 1-Propene, 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoro- (a chemical substance also known as Tetrafluoropropane), if it is used for a significant new purpose. This notification would allow the EPA to assess the potential risks and take necessary actions to protect public health and the environment.
