Medicare and Medicaid Programs Approve Joint Commission for Psychiatric Hospital Accreditation

The Joint Commission has been approved by Medicare and Medicaid to serve as a national accreditation program for psychiatric hospitals participating in the Medicare and Medicaid programs, with an initial 4-year approval period effective February 25, 2011, through February 25, 2015.
