Turbomeca S.A. Proposes Supersession of Airworthiness Directive for Turboshaft Engines

Turbomeca S.A. is proposing to replace an existing airworthiness directive for its Arriel turboshaft engines, requiring a one-time inspection of the axial compressor and cleaning of the gas generator, as well as replacement of the rear bearing if excessive dust is collected during the process, in order to prevent engine failure and uncommanded shutdown.
