PSICC Proposes Forest Restoration Activities in Colorado

The Pike and San Isabel National Forests Cimarron and Comanche National Grasslands (PSICC) plan to restore 25,000 acres of forest in the Upper Monument Creek analysis area, using techniques like mechanical thinning and prescribed fire to create more resilient forests that can withstand extreme events like wildfires and floods, ultimately protecting private property, water quality, and wildlife habitats.
