NIST Announces Plan to Identify Human Cell Lines Using STR Profiling

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is planning to analyze up to 1500 human cell line samples using short tandem repeat (STR) profiling as part of its Identification of Human Cell Lines Project, with the results to be made publicly available on the National Center For Biotechnology Information (NCBI) database.
