Army Announces Availability of Draft PEIS for Aviation Asset Growth and Realignment

The US Department of the Army has released a Draft Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (PEIS) for a proposed plan to consolidate and reorganize Army aviation units, with the goal of increasing helicopter availability and improving training and force management. The plan, which includes the potential establishment of one or more Combat Aviation Brigades, will evaluate environmental impacts associated with construction and renovation of garrison facilities and additional training needs.
