US Government Proposes New Routine Use of Social Security Records for PCIP Eligibility Verification

The US government is proposing a new routine use of the Master Files of Social Security Number Holders and SSN Applications to verify information for the Pre-existing Condition Insurance Plan (PCIP), following a request from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Department of Agriculture's National Finance Center (NFC), Office of Personnel Management (OPM), and the States. The public is invited to comment on this proposal.
