U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Proposes Revision to Spent Fuel Storage Cask Regulations

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission is proposing to update its regulations for spent fuel storage casks, specifically the Transnuclear, Inc. NUHOMS HD System, to include new definitions and requirements for handling damaged fuel assemblies, reconstituted fuel assemblies, and pressurized water reactor fuel assemblies.
