NRC Proposes Amendments to Regulations for Uranium Hexafluoride Possessors

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is proposing to amend its regulations to add additional requirements for companies that possess significant quantities of uranium hexafluoride (UF6). The NRC will hold a public meeting to gather public input on the proposed rule and extend the public comment period from 75 days to 115 days.
