EPA Agrees to Respond to Petition in Clean Air Act Citizen Suit

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has agreed to respond to a petition by December 15, 2009, as part of a proposed consent decree in a lawsuit filed by the Environmental Integrity Project and Sierra Club against the Southwestern Electric Power Company, a unit of American Electric Power, over a CAA Title V operating permit for the John W. Turk, Jr. Power Plant.
