New Regulations for Education Loans and Lender Requirements

The U.S. Secretary establishes new regulations to implement education loan requirements added to the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended, and amends existing regulations for various loan programs, including the Federal Perkins Loan Program and the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program, in response to changes made by the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008.
