Turbomeca Proposes New Airworthiness Directive for Arriel 2S1 Turboshaft Engines

Turbomeca is proposing a new airworthiness directive to address an unsafe condition affecting the Arriel 2S1 engine, which was identified by the aviation authority of another country. The condition occurs when the engine loses full automatic control during acceleration up to a 30-second rating, and can be triggered by a transient deceleration of another engine.
