NMFS Issues Regulations for Amendment 85 to Groundfish Fishery Management Plan

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has implemented regulations to amend the Central Gulf of Alaska Rockfish Program, allowing certain catcher/processors to participate in directed groundfish fisheries in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands Management Area in July, in an effort to improve flexibility and reduce operating costs.
