Office of Postsecondary Education Launches Strengthening Institutions Program for Underrepresented Institutions

The Office of Postsecondary Education is launching a Strengthening Institutions Program (SIP) to support institutions serving underrepresented student populations, including American Indian Tribally Controlled Colleges and Universities (TCCU), Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian-Serving Institutions (ANNH), and others. The program aims to promote postbaccalaureate opportunities for Hispanic Americans and Predominantly Black Institutions (PBI) through various initiatives, including Developing Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSI) and Promoting Postbaccalaureate Opportunities for Hispanic Americans (PPOHA) programs, starting from Fiscal Year (FY) 2010.
