FAA Proposes New Airworthiness Directive for Boeing 737-300, -400, and -500 Series Airplanes
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive for certain Boeing 737-300, -400, and -500 series airplanes to address a safety issue related to frozen angle of airflow (AOA) sensor vanes, which can cause nuisance stick shaker activation during acceleration to cruise speed. The proposed directive requires installing new external case heaters and performing functional tests and corrective actions.
