Nuclear Regulatory Commission Proposes Fingerprint-Based Checks for Unescorted Access to Research Reactors

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is proposing a new regulation requiring research reactor licensees to conduct fingerprint-based criminal history records checks before granting unescorted access to their facilities, in compliance with the Energy Policy Act of 2005 and the Atomic Energy Act of 1954.
