DEA Proposes to Add Tapentadol to Schedule II of Controlled Substances Act

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is proposing to place tapentadol, a pain medication, under the same strict regulations as other Schedule II substances, following a recommendation from the Department of Health and Human Services and an evaluation of relevant data.
