US Issues Letters of Authorization for Marine Mammal Hunting in Alaska

The US government has issued permits allowing the hunting of polar bears and Pacific walruses in the Beaufort Sea and northern coast of Alaska, in accordance with the Marine Mammal Protection Act of 1972.
