US Proposes Adjustments to Atlantic Shark Quotas for 2009 Fishing Season

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is proposing rule changes to adjust quotas for four shark species in the Atlantic Ocean, in response to over- and underharvests during the 2008 fishing season, with the goal of maintaining sustainable fish populations.
