NMFS Issues Temporary Rule for Shrimp Trawling in Texas Waters

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has issued a temporary rule allowing shrimp fishermen in Texas state waters to use limited tow times instead of Turtle Excluder Devices (TEDs) due to environmental conditions caused by Hurricane Ike, which persist on the fishing grounds.
