SEC Approves Joint Industry Plan for Securities Symbol Selection and Reservation

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has approved a joint industry plan submitted by major US stock exchanges, including the Chicago Stock Exchange, Inc., The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc., and the National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. (now known as Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Inc.), to select and reserve securities symbols.
