NMFS Closes Yellowfin Sole Fishing in Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands Management Area

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has closed directed fishing for yellowfin sole by vessels participating in the Amendment 80 limited access fishery in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands management area (BSAI) to prevent exceeding the 2008 halibut bycatch allowance for trawl yellowfin sole fishery category vessels in the BSAI.
