National Marine Fisheries Service Publishes Final List of Fisheries for 2009

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has released its final List of Fisheries (LOF) for 2009, which categorizes commercial fisheries based on their impact on marine mammals. The categorization determines the regulations participants must follow under the Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA).
