PBGC Final Rule Amends Withdrawal Liability Regulations Under Pension Protection Act of 2006

The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) has issued a final rule to implement provisions of the Pension Protection Act of 2006, which affect the allocation of unfunded vested benefits to withdrawing employers from multiemployer pension plans and the determination of withdrawal liability in critical status plans.
