U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Proposes Revision to Spent Fuel Storage Cask Regulations

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is proposing to update its regulations for spent fuel storage casks by revising the Transnuclear, Inc. Standardized NUHOMS System listing to include Amendment No. 10 to Certificate of Compliance Number 1004, which adds new storage options and technical requirements for independent spent fuel storage installation sites in coastal marine environments.
