Canada Fails to Comply with Softwood Lumber Agreement, US Imposes Duties

The US Trade Representative has imposed 10% ad valorem duties on imports of softwood lumber products from Canada due to Canada's failure to collect an additional export charge as required by the 2006 Softwood Lumber Agreement, following an arbitral tribunal's remedy award in 2009.
