Revised Notice of Intent to Prepare Environmental Impact Statement/Overseas Environmental Impact Statement for Virginia Capes Range Complex and Request for Public Scoping Comments

The US Department of the Navy is expanding the area of consideration for the Virginia Capes Range Complex Environmental Impact Statement/Overseas Environmental Impact Statement and invites the public to provide comments on potential shallow water inert mine warfare training areas in the Chesapeake Bay. The proposed training areas would be approximately one by four square nautical miles and would not involve active sonar use.
