USDA Amends Wetland Conservation Regulations to Ensure Certification Consistency

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has issued an interim rule to address inconsistencies in wetland determinations certified and issued between 1990 and 1996, following a federal court ruling that found the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) did not fully meet procedural requirements in its 2020 final rule.
