EPA Proposes to Terminate Special Review of Pesticide Dichlorvos (DDVP)

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has announced its proposed determination to terminate its special review of the pesticide Dichlorvos (DDVP), a decision based on new data and a reevaluation of the risks associated with the chemical, which was initially reviewed in 1988 due to concerns over cancer, cholinesterase inhibition, and liver effects.
